Your guide to Cairo part 1

  • Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the largest city in the middle east and it is consider a stop place to any tourist comes to Egypt so i am going to recommend to you the most important places you can go , the best transportation means , the best districts and hotels to stay in and the kinds of food and restaurants .

Here i will talk about the places you should visit in Cairo ;

1_The Egyptian museum in Cairo : if you interested in the ancient Egyptian history and civilization then you should go there because it has 120000 Egyptian items.

However if you want to enter the mummies room inside you should buy the extra ticket from outside before you enter the museum.

2_Cairo tower: you can see the view of the city from there and i recommend to go there at night because Cairo is a nightlife city.

3_the citadel and Mohamed Ali mosque : Cairo has much islamic monuments and these are from the most important ones because it has ottoman features.

4_Al azhar mosque: Al azhar is considered one of the most important places for muslims around the world and many muslims students come to study there on the other hand it is historical place dates back to the fatmid period in Egypt.

5_Ibn tulun mosque : The oldest mosque in Egypt that still has its own features along the time and it dates back to the tulunid period in Egypt.

6_Riding boat on the Nile:  It is probably the best thing you can do in Cairo to relax and feel the vibe of the Nile.

7_Downtown Cairo: you can hangout in the downtown and see local people and the heart of the city.

8_mozz street: Mozz street is the largest islamic open museum in the world which has many historical mosques and on the other hand it makes you feel the vibe of the old city.

Finally , if you won't do any activities in Cairo like shopping , watching football matches or any other activity except the historical places i can say that 3 days are enough for the city.
